Team Trutta Adds Youth Squad

Team Trutta is very proud to announce that our squad of competitive fisherman is now branching out and growing! We are honored to officially welcome four new members to our newly christened Trutta Youth team. Current squad member Ben Broscious will represent the youth team along side friends Kyle Grumblatt, Chase Kreider, Martin Dietz and Nick Greenberg.
These awesome young men will compete with us side by side in local and regional competitions, as well as represent the Trutta shield in national competitions. We couldn't be happier with the addition to our team! Welcome gentlemen!

During the weekend of June 3rd, 2017, Team Trutta took team silver medals at the Central NY Classic. The team pulled through with excellent placing points, with 4 competitors in top 8.
Little J Team Trutta Mini Fest

This past Sunday, our Team hosted its first comp on the sometimes daunting, but always fun Little Juniata River. 24 fisherman, rookies and veterans alike, got together to test their skills on some nicely colored and heavy water and were able to land and safely release 171 brown trout with an average size of 30.75cm.
Competition was close, sessions ended in near ties across the board all day. Each angler fished their heart out and braved the higher-than-normal flows and inconsistent holding patterns to turn the competition into a fun, tight battle.

We're pleased to announce our new teammate, Brian Leap, of Bellwood, PA. Brian has been fishing hard, learning and growing as a multi-faceted fly angler, which helped earn his rightful place on Team Trutta. We're honored to have him representing us at future competitions, and on the water every day.
Team Trutta Takes Silver!

During the weekend of September 24th, 2016, Team Trutta took team silver medals at the PA Fall Classic, which was held on the venues of Big Fishing Creek and Kish Creek in Central PA. Despite extremely low, clear and challenging conditions, the team pulled through with excellent placing points, with 3 competitors in top 8. Ben Broscius ended with the highest placement, fourth place. In this tight competition, one or two fish could have placed anyone 1-5 places higher. A huge shout out to all the competitors for overcoming the great challenges and catching some good fish. Thanks to Team Headwaters and Ben Trew for putting together this excellent competition.

In a grueling bout on the West Branch of the Delaware, where fish suffered from lock-jaw, Zack pulled through and landed some good fish and placement points to score a Bronze!
Oh, and he didn't fish a Mop.
